Do you work outside Europe? If so, a reliable safety net as far as pension and medical care are concerned, is indispensable. A recent survey shows that our customers are well-informed about the basic package and complementary medical care insurance. However, our workplace accidents and accidents in private life insurance policies appear to be less well known, which is why we are providing a brief overview below.

Why are they attractive? | Both policies are a complement to health care accident insurance (see below). |

What are the costs? | The premium amount depends on the compensation formula and level of risk. |
Our expat in Congo
Julien starts to work in the Democratic Republic of Congo and decides to insure himself against workplace accidents, opting for Formula F. He provides the Overseas Social Security Office (OSS) with the required information regarding his work. In his case, the OSS assigns risk level 4. This means Julien pays a monthly amount of EUR 61.54.
Julien performs physical labour every day and often travels on roads that are in poor condition. Julien is injured while servicing an agricultural machine. He submits a request for intervention to the OSS.
The OSS covers all medical expenses resulting from the workplace accident and also reimburse ambulance costs. If Julien is incapacitated, he will receive a daily allowance of EUR 69.32 from the 31st day following the date of the accident, calculated using the pre-selected Formula F. In the event of permanent injuries, benefits will be determined proportionally based on the degree of injuries and the formula chosen.
Follow Julien's example: be proactive! This example shows how workplace accident and private life accident insurances guarante your safety at workplace and beyond. They contribute to your peace of mind and quality of life wherever you are in the world.
